Where the candidates stand

Colorado AI is asking the candidates for Governor, Attorney General, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House listed below to take the same ten pledges. The pledges: build the AI economy, run the state on AI, and protect Coloradans from real harm.

Colorado is fortunate, as our candidates understand AI better than leaders in almost any other state, and Colorado AI will work with whoever wins each race.

Every candidate starts this election on a clean slate, and nothing from the primary carries over. Colorado AI is collecting responses now.

Each race below names its candidates, and the full pledge-by-pledge comparison appears as soon as that race's positions are verified.

Who we recommend

Recommendations publish once responses are in.

Colorado AI recommends only a candidate who responded directly and took the most pledges in the race. A race where no candidate responds carries no recommendation.

Ask your candidates to take the pledges, and join the movement.

How to read this

A direct response means the candidate sent positions to Colorado AI. Otherwise each pledge is scored from the public record, Yes or No only on a clear position.

Until a race is verified it shows its candidates and nothing more.

Method and sources

A direct response means the candidate sent positions to Colorado AI, scored pledge by pledge. A platform score means the candidate did not respond, so we read their public record and mark Yes or No only on a clear position, sourced and never inferred.

The matrix shows each position at a glance. The write-up under each race explains the qualified and declined positions in the candidate's own terms, with the source and the date it was last verified.

The pledge wording comes from the Colorado AI framework, and candidate rosters are the Colorado Secretary of State's certified general-election list. The pledges are a recommendation to each candidate, never a mandate.

Each race lists the major-party nominees plus any candidate Colorado AI adds by name, all asked and scored on the same terms. The other candidates on the ballot are named for the record.
